'The Drawing Board' will be a seasonal collection of our latest built portfolio, graphics/ design and updates on our ongoing projects to give you an insight to our studio and construction work.

PROJECT OF THE MONTH

Landscape features were used to create a functional and formal garden responding to the aspect and existing features of this private home. Pleached trees and hedging frame the vegetable garden and sweeping beds of shrub and herbaceous planting highlight views to key spaces.

SKETCHBOOK

This 3D visual was created to demonstrate our design for a rear terrace at a property in Greater Manchester. Feature trees, pergolas and topiary enclose and give structure to the new entertaining space. Varying terrace levels and pathways provide a sense of journey and arrival to the different outdoor areas.

BEFORE & AFTER

Barnes Walker installed these 'pre-planted coir mats' around a new pond in July 2019 in South Yorkshire. Within three months they established and gave an instant maturity to the new pond, creating a haven for wildlife and stabilising the pond edge. We look forward to revisiting this summer to see further progress.

BEHIND THE SCENES

We are now proud members of the '100 Trees Club' with City of Trees. City of Trees are a Manchester based charity with a mission to transform underused, unloved woodland and to plant 3 million trees - one for every person across the Manchester region. By joining the '100 Trees Club' we are supporting the planting and management of 100 trees and the wider aims of the movement. We look forward to joining them on a tree planting day in the future.
